Problem: The ground water was further deteriorating the walls around the pipe(s) and allowing ground water to fill up the pit.

Application Situation

The concrete walls around the pipe(s) of a runoff water pit had deteriorated and were allowing ground water to flow in and artificially fill up the pit.

Application Method

The area around the pipe was hand prep with a grinder to achieve the desired surface profile. Backing rod was pushed into the voids around the pipe to create a backing for the 4131. Finally, Belzona 5811 was applied to seal the repair area.

Belzona Facts

Replacing the pit was not an option and the concrete if left along would further deteriorate and destroy the entire function of the pit.
