Belzona Facts
Welding was not allowed due to no hot work allowed. There were several other operating wells in the area. In order to repair with traditional welding, all of the wells in the vicinity must be shut-in at the cost of $75,000 per day.
With Belzona no hot work is needed and extensive downtime was avoided by completing the repair successfully and putting the well back to service in less than 36 hours.
