New 200mm copper strips were cold bonded across the joints using Belzona 1212 to permanently seal the joints. Over every 4th joint a flexible system (supplied by the customer) was bonded using Belzona 1212 in the same way.
Belzona Facts
Over the past 40 years the College had sealed these leaking gutter joints many times using various sealants and other methods, none of which lasted for long. The College was so pleased with previous Belzona applications on this site, they approached Belzona for a permanent solution to their leaking gutter problem. The customer was very pleased with the result and has since specified other Belzona products for more projects around the College.
