Problem: Due to inaccurate assembling of suction pipe and pressure pipe both suction and pressure flanges were torn off the pump body.

Application Situation
Large pump 16 NDN working in drainage system.
Application Method
Flanges were rebuilt from pieces. All cracks in the pump casing were detected, cut out and fixed in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet ENC-1. Steel reinforcing plates were made. Flanges and reinforcing plates were fixed with Belzona® 1111 and secured with screws.
Belzona Facts
Repair work took 36 hours. Pressure testing of the pump at test bench showed full impermeability. Put back into operation and worked more than 2 years until planned replacement. With Belzona solution the customer avoided serious losses from new pump purchase and long downtime. Full repair cost only 10% of new pump price.
