Application Situation

The concrete on the balconies had started to spall and was falling from height. As a trusted supplier to the local authority, Belzona were asked to supply materials and suggest a reliable contractor to carry out the repair works. The local Belzona Engineer compiled the spec and organised the contractor, giving the authority every confidence in a job well done

Application Method

Break off any loose and friable faulty, spalled concrete
Wire brush all exposed repair back to clean steel
Mix and apply Belzona 4911 to the target areas with a short bristled brush
Mix and apply Belzona 4141 to target areas using a board, coated with Belzona 9411 release agent, as a straight edge
Compress and smooth using a finishing trowel

Other products had been used in other areas for the same authority and they had noticed that the repairs were repeated many times, which was an unacceptable cost due to mobilizing contractors more times than needed.
Belzona was employed as the repair material and no further action has been necessary
