问题: Due to the financial situation, a closure of the plant for weld repairs was not possible. Environmental Authorities demanded that the gas leaks were reduced within a tight time frame so they turned to Belzona for a solution. There were 9 out of 53 furnaces on site that needed repairing as a priority. Repairs had to be carried out with furnaces in operation, thus requiring application onto hot surfaces.

Significant number of gas leaks around the coke ovens threatened fines and closure of the plant from the environmental authorities.
施工方法
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet VPF-11. After cleaning and grit blasting the leaking areas, custom designed plates were bonded into place with Belzona 1251, Belzona 5851 was then coated over the top for further protection.

Welded plates were not possible due to hot work restrictions in this area of the plant. The Belzona solution offered a fast/safe solution that was carried out without the need to shut the plant down.
