Application Situation

A Francis turbine runner which had been previously coated 15 years ago.

Application Method

Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet CEP-3.The bottom and top parts only needed a protection against corrosion and not erosion: Belzona® 5811 was used. The middle part had a serious problem of cavitation: Belzona® 1341 and Belzona® 2141 were used.

Belzona Facts

The equipment was coated on time and put back into service with minimal delay. Use of Belzona® 2141 System will provide improved resistance to cavitaion over previously used coating.
