Application Situation
315 kW electric motor shaft
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet MPT-1. Shaft was turned down and left with coarse thread before being rebuilt with Belzona® 1111 followed by machining back to original diameter.
Belzona Facts
Welding was not an option due to the high risk of thermal stress. Belzona repaired required no heat so enabled a safe cost effective repair to be completed quickly, saving huge cost over replacement option.
