Problem: One of the tires of the dump truck had two lateral cuts, which reached the metal mesh and may have been caused by stone impact during movement. It was necessary to repair the affected area in order to prevent the cut from expanding and the tire to become useless before the end of its useful life. Lateral cuts measured 130 mm and 500 mm in length and 40 and 60 mm in depth.

Application Method
The application was conducted according to Belzona Know-How System Leaflet SHM-9. The lateral cut was opened and all the loose rubber was removed, reaching the inner liners, without exacerbating the problem. After scarification of the rubber, cleaning of the cut and application of Belzona 2911 conditioner, two repairs were made: the first one with the application of Belzona 2311 and the second one with the application of Belzona 2211.
Belzona Facts
The Belzona repair remained adhered with excellent performance for more than 60 days (more than 1,500 hours), which was the time period requested by the client.
