Problem: The vessel had been in service for over 20 years. It was suffering from severe corrosion and began to "rust through" in several places, causing the customer to become wary of complete failure.

Belzona Facts
This vessel is a vital part of the plant and a complete failure would cause the entire unit to be shut down. The customer was producing $5,000,000 in sales per week at that time and could not afford a failure. Belzona repair was completed in 1 day at a cost of around $10,000, Belzona enabled the unit to stay in service until the January 2009 turnaround, when tank could be replaced.
