Problem: A 22-ton screw press with 16 support legs requires a chocking system to withstand harsh physical vibrations and thermal shock.

Application Situation
The Paper Mill required a quick solution as the screw press wasn't installed until towards the end of the major shutdown. The onsite team was able to complete the job in just 3 days, ensuring a quick return to service.
Application Method
The application was done in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet GSS-12.
1. Timber battens were coated in Belzona 9411 Release Agent
2. A dam was created in 16 locations using screws and silicon, left to cure overnight.
3. Belzona 7111 was mixed and poured in accordance with Belzona 7111 IFU, and was left to cure for 24 hours before removing timber battens.

Belzona 7111 was used as it is a self leveling system to create a perfectly even base for the screw press.
