Problem: The problem is on the floor of a manufacturing warehouse. They have a problem on the floor of their blade factory, specifically in the joints of the technical trenches, which have metal covers along long lengths. These are found in many passage areas of the pavilion, being subject to impacts, scraping and support of loads from equipment and vehicles that circulate during production. With the movement of employees, equipment and vehicles, the metal rails at the joints are damaged, which can create dangerous situations for employees and damage to vehicles.

Application Situation
Our client is a manufacturer of blades for wind turbines, which has two blade factories in the north of Portugal. This opportunity arose during a visit with the facility manager to one of them, in Vagos, Aveiro, who asked me if we had a solution to this problem. In joint analysis with the facilities company that manages the client's facilities, CBRE - Global Workplace Solutions, we came up with a proposed solution.
Application Method
The repair procedure consists of removing the metal covers, removing the support rails (profile “Z”), opening recesses in the concrete to receive the new “L” shaped support rails (metal angle), applying Belzona 4111 (Magma-Quartz) to the base of laying and fixing them, filling the open spaces in the concrete with Belzona 4111 (Magma-Quartz) always with prior application of 4911 (Magma TX Conditioner) on the base and on the metal gutter “L”, finishing the surface with Belzona 4111(Magma-Quartz) to be at floor level.

The customer was satisfied and does not want to risk failing attempts again, which cost money and take up time to resolve the problem, without being sure that it is effective. In this case, they already know that it works, so we will definitely do it again next time this year.
