This "smooth ride" expansion joint will provide decades of service and minimize damage to the facility's equipment.

Application Situation
Downtime costs in a 24 hour distribution facility are high so when this customer was looking for a solution to their failing expansion joints they turned to Belzona. These joints were fixed in 60 foot sections so as to minimize service disruptions. Surface prep was completed in the morning, the Belzona system was installed in the early afternoon and the area was returned to service the next day.
Application Method
The damaged expansion joint was saw-cut, and the concrete surface was prepared using an MBX Bristle Blaster. After taping off the area, Belzona 4911 (TX Conditioner) was applied to the substrate with a stippling technique. Belzona 4511 (Magma-Flex Hi-Build) was then mixed and installed as per the Instructions for Use. The tape was removed, and the area was ready for service the following day.
