Problem: Concrete tanks had been installed & lined years previously with a Polyurea coating which had subsequently failed. This coating had disbonded in large areas & left the concrete open to degradation. The fish stored in the tank could suffer lacerations from the rough surface.

Application Situation

By using the Belzona solution a strong long term bond to the surface was achieved that came with the required potable water approvals. The solvent free nature of the coating meant no disruption to production in other tanks onsite.

Application Method

The existing coating was removed & concrete prepared mechanically. Any larges gaps or joints were then filled before two coats of Belzona 5811DW2 was applied.
