Application Situation

Rebuild flange face using a plastic bottle as a cast

Application Method

Prepared steel with wire wheel and angle grinder. De-greased and then scrubbed Belzona 1111 onto flange, building up pitted area. Applied Belzona 9411 to plastic bottle. Pressed Belzona 1111 into void around bottle. Sanded excess material back to original dimension.

Belzona Facts

Parts were not available and the ship was scheduled to leave port. Delays were estimated to be 10k a day until the part would arrive 10 days later. Repair saved 100k in delay fees for a part that only would cost $400.
