Problem: The floating roof developed a couple of corrosion holes on the plates.

Application Situation

The customer had put a rubber insulated magnet on top of the hole to prevent it from leaking out.
We were not allowed to use any power tools, not even a cell phone or a smart watch. We had to go through intense training to be allowed to work on the tank.
The repair only took 45min.

Application Method

The area was prepped as best as possible by a hand metal brush, A Belzona 9611 emergency product was used to temporarily plug the hole.
After cured a kit with a mesh and Belzona 1212 was used to complete the repair.
