Problem: Product was leaking from flanges and needed sealing for environmental compliance.

Application Situation

The flanges on a tank of a petrochemical storage tank was leaking above the allowable environmental limit. Quick in-situ repair required with not hot work is allowed around the perimeter,

Application Method

-Flanges were cleaned using Belzona 9111 and a power tool.
-Belzona 1212 was used to seal the leak.
-Belzona Superwrap II resin and accessories were used to give further protection.

Belzona Facts

Belzona repair solution was able to achieve seal the leaks under 6 minutes , allowing for a more robust superwrap application. The overall repair was carried out based on customer's expectation and no leak was experienced after an inspection was carried out 3 months later on the flanges.
