Problem: After many years of pumping river water the pump bowls had severe corrosion issues and required rebuilding

Application Situation

The customer called and ask that Belzona provide a solution and products to rebuild the four pump bowls, Belzona recommended Belzona 1111 and 9111 by using Belzona products saved the customer time and money instead of welding the cost savings was about $6300.00 for not welding and no heat treatment was required.

Application Method

Pumps were dismantled by the CMF Millwrights and blasted and than cleaned using Belzona 9111, Belzona 1111 was mixed using the Belzona tooling and application started by using a short bristle brush to fill heavy corrosion areas and finished using a Belzona applicator.

The customer was pleased that the local Consultant provided his time to work with the apprentices to show them the techniques of the Belzona application when rebuilding this type of equipment.
