Application in progress

Completed repair with Belzona 4131 in service for 5 years

Application Situation
The application area itself was 45 metres long and 1 metre wide, with a total thickness of 6-12 mm. The area in the middle was worn more than on the sides.
Application Method
Surface preparation was carried out by hand as the substrate was concrete with blue stone in it. Belzona 4911 (Magma TX Conditioner) was first applied to the area, and then Belzona 4131 (Magma-Screed) one metre at a time. Distributor's own application team carried it the application on site.
Belzona Facts
The Belzona 4000 series was offered as the solution as these products had the ability to withstand the harsh erosion and abrasion caused by the volume of water mixed with iron ore particles. In addition, the Belzona 4000 series was simple to apply in the conditions at the mine with the ability to carry out the applications in small sections during the one-day shutdown period.

These initial repairs have been in service for 4-6 years and they show no signs of wear.
