Problem: A plastic tank had developed several cracks around pipes. A replacement was planned but to get production through to that point a temporary fix was requested.

Application Situation

A repair was developed using roughening brushes on the plastic substrate & Belzona 1221 to yield best possible adhesion.

Application Method

The area around the crack was roughened, Belzona 1221 applied. Belzona Superwrap 2 was then applied on top to impart more flexural strength to the repair.

Using this method got the tanks back into service with minimal disruption to surrounding production
