Problem: Customer faced corrosion and erosion in the casing of drinking water pump and it was unusable before Belzona repair.

Application Situation

The pump was out of service due to severe damage and the customer planned to replace it with a new pump costing over $20,000. Belzona save the pump and put it back to service. The Belzona 1341N coating applied was also found to improve efficiency and reduce power consumption. The customer is already considering to coat all pumps.

Application Method

The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet CEP-01 and CEP-03.
For the surface preparation, the pump was blasting to remove all the rust and contamination from the surface, achieving a minimum profile of 75 microns and Near White Metal cleanliness.

Belzona Facts

Belzona solution saved the pump that was out of service and had to be replaced, already saving $20,000. Without using special tools, Belzona filled pitting, repaired ring areas and impeller damage. The project costed only 30% of the original pump price.
