Problem: The client was facing deteriorating concrete due to chemical spillage when replacing the chemical storage container.

You can see the damaged concrete areas in this picture from the chemical spillage.

We had to make a few deeper concrete repairs using Belzona 4111 before moving forward.

Once the other areas had been repaired we skimmed most of the containment area to bring back to level using Belzona 4111

Application Situation
Other alternatives that were considered was removing the affected area and pouring new concrete and curbing. We were able to show the client other applications that had been completed for several years and how fast we could get them back in service. We completed this project in just three days and they were able to start the process back up in a total of five days. We saved our client over close to one million dollars in down time and project cost.
Application Method
We first began by neutralizing the affected area. Then we began to remove loose and damaged concrete with needle guns and hand grinders. Once the damaged areas were prepped we began to apply Belzona 4911 Conditioner followed by Belzona 4111 to fill pockets of damaged areas followed by skimming the containment area to level the floor and for proper drain. Next we applied two coats of Belzona 43111 to the containment and curbing and providing a little extra protection by carrying the coating over the curbing and ramp.
