Problem: The flange faces and the removable gasket had been attacked and corroded by the chemicals passing through the unit. In places the depth of corrosion on the flanges was 20-30mm.

Application Method
Application was carried out using suitably modified techniques covered in Belzona System Leaflets GSS-2, VPF-1, 2 & 13.
Belzona Facts
Ease of use was an important factor given the difficult working situation. The excellent chemical resistance of Belzona® 4311 has prevented further corrosion occuring on the flange.
