Problem: Now in 2020, some 20 years after the original application, some localized areas required attention and re-laying of Belzona 4111.

Application Situation

The area adjacent to the stern ramp of the trawling vessel is a constant trafficable area for the crew as well as weighted nets full of the catch of the day being dragged across the deck. Back In 2000 the engineer in charge applied one of the Belzona 4000 products to the deck area for non slip and durability.

Application Method

The localized areas were mechanically abraded and the Belzona 4111 was troweled into the areas to be patched.

The same engineer applied both Belzona products some 20 years apart - it was very evident that the original Belzona was extremely durable and robust making the decision to carry out the patch repairs with Belzona a very easy one.
