Problem: Impeller had moved on its shaft causing it to run against the casing. This resulted in severe abrasive wear and mechanical damage.

Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets CEP-1 and CEP-3.

Previously, impellers in this condition were not considered repairable resulting in delivery lead times to source a new part as well as the associated replacement costs. The repair using Belzona meant the part could be returned to service within 48 hours.
