Application Situation

Blades on a CRF wheel in a nuclear power plant.

Application Method

Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona System Leaflet CEP-05.
After the removal of the remaining patches of the previous coating, the substrate was rebuilt using Belzona 2311. Belzona 2141 was then used to protect the area against cavitation.

Belzona Facts

The customer noticed that the service life of this equipment was tripled thanks to this application. This solution would last 3 years instead of 1 with the alternatives tested before (welding, ceramic tiles, ...). This application is now done by the distributor every 3 years on this equipment.
