Application Situation
The high cost of shutdowns due to the failure of previous coatings led the customer to seek a long-lasting solution. We conducted a thorough analysis of the old coating, including a root cause investigation, and proposed Belzona coating as the ideal long-term solution.
Application Method
The old coating was removed, and the surface was prepared through blasting to achieve a minimum profile of 75 µm and a near-white metal finish. Belzona 1511 was applied to smooth out welding joints, while Belzona 1593 was used to coat and protect the entire reactor.
