Problem: Pipe supports were needing to be installed on existing tank. Belzona 7311 offered a better alternative to welding due to the fact that the vessel had an internal liner, and no open hot work was allowed in area.

Client identified and marked where support to be bonded on tank exterior.

Pipe support and bond area perspiration.

Pipe support bond pad surface profile readings were taken prior to bonding.

Pipe support bonded to prepared tank substrate Belzona 7311.

Application Situation
Belzona 7311 was chosen as an alternative to welding. Belzona 7311 repair also offered the ability to cold bond the pipe support without the need for open flame hot work and possible damage internal liner of vessel.
Application Method
Application was caried out with all surface preparation executed with TFT Pneumatic Rough Boy sparkless profiling tool. Therefore, eliminating any hot work in areas and potential damage to internal liner of vessel.
