Problem: A cold storage freezer floor area was breaking up due to traffic & low temperatures. A fast back to service repair was required to be carried out over a weekend so production was not impeded.

Application Situation

By using an epoxy material the application could be carried out in lower temperature conditions & in a short timeframe.

Application Method

The defective areas were ground out. Belzona 4911 & Belzona 4131 were then applied to level these areas. Belzona 4521 was then poured in two expansion joints where the mastic has broken up. Heaters were used to speed up the cure of the material & ensure it was ready for service.

Belzona Facts

Using the Belzona system meant large areas did not have to be removed. The cured system yields a durable system that can stand up to the warehouse traffic.
