Problem: Having removed a weir plate some years ago which revealed damage and causing leakage from the bath. Repairs of the time have then failed with significant corrosion and through wall defects, resulting in referring back to the Belzona solution offered at the time.

Application Situation

The client had tried alternative repair methods and failed. Belzona had previously successfully completed repairs to two other tanks which had remained uneffected. There were no welding alternatives and in choosing the Belzona method, had the confidence of success in investing in the best available and cost effective solution

Application Method

Prepare substrates by use of bristle blaster and grinders.
Apply Belzona 1511 and pre-made composite plates.
Apply Belzona 1391T two coat system to all prescribed areas

Replacement of tank completely out of the question so a really quick application was appreciated by the client.
