Problem: The typical life span of PTFE sleeves in certain situations in the paper industry was only 10 to 12 weeks. All other alternative abrasion resistant materials were unsuitable due to the high operating temperatures.

Belzona Know-How System Leaflet CEP-3 was utilised and developed by customer and Consultant and has now become an OEM for the manufacturer, worldwide.
Belzona Facts
After 6 years development prior to 2005, some 300+ meters have been produced in a range from 100mm to 400mm diameter. Protected by Belzona® 1391 they now have a typical life span of 2 to 3 years, a ten fold increase. WRAS potable water approval is added advantage. Meters have also been installed by a Water Authority in de-salination plants and distribution networks.
