Problem: Our customer was looking to renovate and protect their concrete switchyard. There was no previous coating but movement over 40+ years had caused some cracks and areas of concern.

Belzona 5815 (14 months in service) used with 9371 composite reinforcement tape. This was applied to all seams and perimeters where the walls met the floor.

Application Situation
Our customer had used Belzona on a number of containments around the plant. Our reputation and great product made this a great option that our customer was comfortable in selected.
Application Method
With no prior coating, our client used a 3500psi + pressure washer to clean and create a profile on existing concrete.
Any damaged concrete or unlevel areas were repaired with Belzona 4111.
Gaps and seams that could limit containment, were filled with caulk and sealed with Belzona 5815 and 9371 composite tape to reinforce.
(2) coats of Belzona 5815 were applied.
#16 aluminum oxide aggregate was broadcasted into the second coat for a non skid effect.
