Substrate: Concrete
Customer Location: Decatur, AL

Removal process of the current coating. Look how this coating just peeled away in sheet. This was caused from poor surface preparation.

Application Situation
This area could not be used at the time due to the cracks and peeling away of the current coating. So the client was having to rent chemical storage containers which were coating thousands of dollars per day. With the Belzona 5815 coating this not only saved them time in return to service but potentially up to $30,000.00 or more if they did not make the repairs.
Application Method
We used walk behind grinders to remove the current coating and peeled away by hand most of the remaining coating. Once the coating was removed we prepped the surface with diamond bit grinders to scarify the concrete surface. Then we pressure washed to remove any loose debris. Once the area was dry we applied two coats of Belzona 5815 and light aggregate to create non-slip surface for the tanker drivers.
Belzona Facts

There was no other alternative for this containment.
Since this containment is a dry containment Belzona 5815 was chosen due to the adhesion and flexibility rating to expand and contract with the environment.
