Problem: After a local inspection, a technology was developed to repair damaged pump components based on a coating system that increases erosive resistance for demanding pump operating conditions.

Application Situation

Duchting Pumpen MC 300-500 after many years of operation was damaged by numerous body cracks and other damage.

Application Method

The scope of work carried out with Belzona materials included, among others:
● repair of pump body crack
● replenishment of cavities, protection of the rotor and body
● restoration of the nominal load-bearing parameters of the structure of the cracked pump body
● regeneration of the retaining ring
● regeneration of the inner ring in the pump body All inline with Belzona system leaflet CEP-5

Belzona Facts

✔ Cost and time savings – thanks to the regeneration and restoration of damaged components, it was possible to avoid expensive purchases and long waits for new parts. ✔ Belzona coating system increased erosive resistance and protected the pump for harsh environments. After 6 months from the start of the pump, the customer gave us another similar pump for repair and regeneration.
