Problem: Bearing failure caused this shaft to wear in multiple places over 1/2 inch deep.

Applying Belzona 1111 using a machined former to match the I.D. of the shaft.

Final result after two hours under heat to force cure we removed the former and used emory cloth to finish the surface to a smooth surface.

Application Situation

With this Belzona 1111 repair the customer was back up and running in less than one day. We saved the customer several days in down time and thounsdas of dollars.

Application Method

We first cleaned the shaft of any debris and oils. Taped the area to be repaired off and began prep with a MBX tool. Once the surface area was prepped we applied Belzona 9411 release agent to a former. Once the release agent dried we then applied Belzona 1111 to the shaft removed the excess and bolted the former to the shaft. We then applied heat with a halogen lamp for two hours and then removed the former.
