Problem: Surface of the tube sheets were badly corroded and required recovery and protection to stop unwanted leakages.

Application Situation
Old heat exchanger in oil refinery cooling benzene fractions with hydrogen sulfide at working temperature up to 70°С.
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets HEX-1 and HEX-3. After grit blasting, erosion damage was rebuilt before applying Belzona 1391T for overall corrosion protection. A special flange shaped former was coated with Belzona 9411 and positioned so the flange remained uncoated.

The customer needed a quick and economical repair of the heat exchangers without compromising the quality or performance and reliability for long service life. Belzona 1391T is applied without the need of specialist tools and also can achieve full cure in service. This Belzona repair saves the customer time and money.
