Problem: Customer had a pump bowl that was severely deteriorated and in one section it has developed a through wall defect. We proposed to them a trial to repair their pump and protected to increase its service life.

Post application

Application Situation

The customer wanted to replace the pump components and get new ones but we proposed a trial, so they could see how they would be able to extend the life of their current unit without the need for costly replacement.

Application Method

The pump components were blasted to achieve a near white metal finish with a good profile. The pitting was filled, and the pin hole was patched with Belzona 1111. Then Belzona 1321 was applied to protect the pump from corrosion and offer some erosion resistance.

Belzona Facts

The unit was repaired and coated and sent back to the customer. If the customer is satisfying with the performance, we will be getting a lot more units from them to repair and protect.
