Belzona Seals Cracks in Concrete Sump

Problem: Customer has a large concrete sump that they dump chemicals and waste into. The concrete has cracked over time. They were looking for a repair method to seal the cracks to prevent liquid from inside going out, and vice versa. They previously repaired cracks using Belzona system and it held well for many years. There were additional areas that had not received Belzona that needed to be addressed. After an inspection, the report showed a few cracks that were greater than 1/8” wide and needed repair.

Application Situation
Customer needed a quick cost-effective solution to repair the cracks in concrete to add life to the sump. A previous Belzona repair was done 7 years ago and was still holding well, so they choose to use Belzona again in the repair areas.
Application Method
1. Power tool prep with grinders to vee out the cracks and prepare the concrete surface.
2. Apply Belzona 4911 conditioner
3. Apply Belzona 4111 to pit fill/rebuild lost concrete
4. Apply Belzona 5815 and 9371 to patch over the cracks
Belzona Facts
A spill of chemicals from in the sump out into ground soil can cause extreme fines from three letter agencies. The Belzona repair helps seal the area and prevent chemicals into soil.
