Problem: Cracks, blisters, delaminations and alligatoring were found in the existing rubber lining of the tank after a long period of use without maintenance.

Application Situation
A patch repair option of the rubber lining was replaced by the use of Belzona rebuilding paste grade and protective coating.
Application Method
Damaged areas of the existing rubber lining were removed and the exposed metal surface was grit blasted. Exposed deeply pitted areas were filled with Belzona 1111 and rebuilt up to 1 mm to compensate for metal loss. Multiple coats of Belzona 1321 were applied by brush for extra protection.
Belzona Facts
The Belzona solution is easy to install and has been proven in service to last longer than conventional rubber linings applied to tank inner surfaces. It is also cost-effective, requiring less equipment to apply and the usual manpower required to restore the wall thickness and apply the protective coating.
